SRA Competency A D

Introduction

The SRA has announced that it is funding an investigation into the unregulated legal services market, to ascertain the effect it is having on the legal services marketplace generally.

With the results expected by the end of 2022, we can expect to see some in-depth analysis about the impact of the new ‘de-regulated’ environment on the ‘old’ profession, and whether transparency has helped us regain our marketplace.

During this new virtual classroom seminar expert speaker Trevor Hellawell will discuss the outcome of the SRA investigation and what it means for the legal sector.

What You Will Learn

This live and interactive session will cover the following:

  • What legal services do not need regulation?
  • Who can offer them?
  • Can employed solicitors offer privileged legal advice to the general public?
  • Would you accept an undertaking from an employed solicitor?
  • The scope for innovation

Recording of live sessions: Soon after the Learn Live session has taken place you will be able to go back and access the recording - should you wish to revisit the material discussed.
