Introduction

The EU and the UK are tightening up the reins on providers of digital and online services to control the risks to consumers as well as children and the vulnerable.

Whilst the laws will hit the major providers of digital services the hardest, these laws will impact many businesses in the online world.

The EU laws (Digital Services Act and Digital Markets Act) are expected to be passed in October 2022 and then there will be a transition period of 6 months for them to be effective.

The UK equivalent is the Online Safety Act which is yet to be passed but will likely be in force by the end of 2022.

This webinar will analyse the legislation and explain how organisations will have to comply.
