This bite-sized webinar is aimed at all those involved in drafting witness statements in clinical negligence claims.
The webinar will focus on the nuances and specific requirements of drafting whether for a Claimant or Defendant and assumes a working knowledge of the format and content of witness statements generally.

This webinar will cover the following:
- Who needs to give evidence where they may be many caregivers for example, or many clinicians involved in some aspect of the Claimant’s care
- Defendant’s witness statements - what is and what is not opinion evidence and therefore the proper boundaries of clinicians’ witness statements
- Records v recollection - a recap of the caselaw as it informs statement drafting where there are factual issues about either the accuracy or the completeness of the records
- Consent cases - the need for a cogent explanation from a Claimant as to why they would have declined or postponed the index surgery
