Introduction
In September 2021, the government announced its long-awaited plan for adult social care reform in England, which includes the introduction of a lifetime ‘cap’ of £86,000 to take effect from October 2023.
The term ‘cap’ suggests that no-one who receives care and support should have to pay more than that sum in their lifetime, but as is often the case, and as borne out in media coverage, the devil is in the detail.
This new virtual classroom seminar is for people who are already advising clients about the current paying for care rules and social care means testing.
You will work through case studies and calculations to analyse how the changes will impact your clients and what advice you need to be giving now - even though the new regime will not start until October 2023.
