Course Outline
Introduction
The Schrems II Judgment in 2020 raised many questions regarding means and mechanisms for international transfers of personal data. The publication of new Standard Contractual Clauses in 2021, the requirements for Transfer Risk Assessments and the UK specific requirements for data transfers have made international data transfers a complex issue.
For businesses who operate across multiple jurisdictions there are emerging data transfer restrictions in many other jurisdictions than just the UK and the EU.
This virtual classroom seminar will be practical, with plenty of opportunity for engagement. The aim of the session is to offer instructor led discussion on some of the more difficult issues in a practical, collaborative, multi-disciplinary way.
Its aim is to provide talking points to allow you to continue to shape your own approach to the practical, legal and compliance challenges.
