Introduction
2021 was a particularly busy year for mental health practitioners, as we have continued to deal with the challenges posed by the pandemic. It was also a highly important year for Mental Health Act reform, with the recent publication of the Government’s response to the public consultation on the Mental Health Act white paper.
This webinar will provide a concise summary of recent caselaw as the courts continue to respond to the practical challenges posed by the pandemic for those working with patients detained under the Mental Health Act. It will also summarise the response to the Mental Health Act white paper and the next steps in implementing these landmark proposed reforms to our mental health system.
