Introduction
The EU New Deal for Consumers comprises two new directives which make a series of important changes to existing EU directives in the field of consumer law.
The first directive will come into force in May 2022 with the second directive likely to come into force in 2023.
UK businesses dealing with EU consumers will need to comply with the changes when they come into force.
Whether the UK government will decide to implement the provisions in due course remains unknown, but a previous green paper and consultation suggests that some of the provisions are likely to find their way into UK consumer law.
This new webinar summarises the key content and considers the changes that need to be made.
