Introduction

Assets of community value (‘ACVs’) are a fairly recent statutory invention. The status of land as an ACV can have a significant impact on the landowner’s rights.

This virtual classroom seminar will consider some key questions of the interpretation and application of the legislation, it will look at some of the ever-increasing case law of the First-tier Tribunal, Upper Tribunal and Courts in this area, and it will provide some useful practical guidance.

It is aimed equally at those who wish to nominate a building or other land as an ACV, landowners who wish to resist that nomination, those who are responsible for administering this statutory regime and at the professionals who advise any or all of these groups.
